Carrol Rouse
I am an experienced counsellor with over 18 years of practice, dedicated to continuous learning and professional development to ensure I meet the ever-evolving needs of my clients.
In 2007, I founded Community Counselling Service, which became a Community Interest Company in 2011. As a not-for-profit organisation, CCS has provided accessible and affordable counselling to over 6,000 clients, something I am incredibly proud of.
My expertise covers a broad range of areas, including stress, anxiety, self-esteem, depression bereavement as well as more complex conditions. I also have extensive experience working with sensitive topics including PTSD, CPTSD, always striving to create a safe and supportive space for healing.
I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual, as meaningful change happens when the approach aligns with a person’s unique experiences. I am an accredited member of the BACP Membership Number 00593441 My practice also includes specialised therapies such as Mindful Interbeing Mirror Therapy (MIMT) and Imagery Rescripting (ImRs) allowing me to offer a well-rounded and holistic approach.
I have extensive experience supervising counsellors, as well as Mental Health Practitioners, Teachers, Classroom Assistants, Senior Management in Private Organisations, and others who require support and guidance with the emotional aspects of their work. As a supervisor, I bring warmth, insight, and encouragement, fostering confidence and professional growth. I am passionate about helping counsellors and therapists develop their skills while ensuring they feel valued, supported, and inspired in their roles.
While I prefer to see people face-to-face, I do offer a limited number of online sessions for those who require them
